Challenge
Human performance technology markets itself with the language of athletics and wellness. HPO sells into emergency response teams, defence organisations, and specialist corporates, buyers who make decisions where the consequence of being wrong is measured in lives rather than churn. Their existing materials borrowed the consumer register and left the actual system invisible. A prospect could finish the site without being able to describe what the technology did. The work had to make the system legible before it made it attractive.

Role
I led the creative direction, and visual design on behave of Mixin Agency.

STRATEGY
I rejected the standard approach of communicating capability through claims and testimonials. For buyers operating under real consequence, a claim is noise and a diagram is evidence. I anchored the identity on system visualisation, treating HPO’s technology as an architecture that could be drawn rather than a benefit that could be described. Every asset in the system, from the site to the sales deck, resolves to the same principle: show the mechanism, and trust follows without being asked for.

SOLUTION
I built the identity around isometric system diagrams as the primary visual language, not as decoration but as the explanation itself. Motion sequences those diagrams so the mechanism reveals in the order a buyer needs to understand it. The information architecture was rebuilt around the evaluation question rather than the org chart. The palette and typography hold a restrained technical register, deliberately closer to defence instrumentation than to consumer wellness. Nothing in the system is persuasive. Everything in it is precise.

OUTCOME
The site now answers who HPO is and how the technology works without a sales conversation. User journey efficiency improved by 50% and data accessibility by 75%. The system visualisations carried into the sales deck and motion assets, giving the team one consistent explanation across every touchpoint. HPO shifted from a company describing a capability to one demonstrating a mechanism, which is the position a technical buyer can actually evaluate.
